Do you have any idea how embarrassing this would have been if I had to call the fire department?

Like I would ever be mates with those stupid… jerks! [She attempts to say mates with Nathan’s accent and it’s just awful. Awful. She takes a deep breath, composing herself, and says:]

I mean, we all care first and foremost about the safety of New York. There just might be a bit of rivalry but it’s not serious.

[She shoots him the most disgusted expression.]

[She makes a face and slouches, thrusting her hips forward and making a scrunchy face as she brings out her awful British accent again.] Oi, I'm Nathan, and I bloody like sex and drinking and peeing on things! Look at all the middle fingers I have! [She holds up both hands.] See? All of them are middle fingers since I like swearing that much!

Okay, first off, I don't sound anything like that! What was that, anyway? The bloody Lucky Charms leprechaun? And, second, the peeing on things only happened once!

You killed my fern! [Her voice takes on a whining note.] I really liked that fern.

Ferns can't die, they're not like animals or anything.

[She stares at him, then throws her hands in the air.] How is it possible for anyone to be this ignorant! Plants are living things, Nathan! They can die!

They don't make noises! Or breathe! Can you check a fern's pulse, Amy? HA! No! I thought not!

That's it! [She glares at him, straightening up so she can look him in the eye.] If you want this relationship to work out, you're enrolling in a basic biology class right now! I can't be with someone who doesn't realize plants are living organisms!
