HOLLOW ATTACK. Congratulations! Your character can suddenly (or has always been able to) see ghosts and spirits and things. Which means that you can see the giant monstrous Hollow beast that's come to attack you in the middle of the night. It lets out a hideous roar and rips a hole through your bedroom wall. Fuuuuuuuck.

<THREE>
NEW STUDENT! As in you've just transferred to Karakura High School. Tag your character into the lunchroom/classroom seat beside Ichigo/something more entertaining, and they can be generally suspicious of each other's lives :'D

DIMENSIONAL DUMPING GROUND. Either Ichigo's been dumped into some exciting moment from your character's canon, or your character finds themselves suddenly in his. Feel free to tag with a scenario, or do a blank tag and I'll set up something in his world. They don't know how they got there. Blame wormholes in space/time.

Well, I think my problem might have something to do with the giant demon headed our way. And if you'd just give me that, I could take care of it! [ She's five. She's participating in this game of keep-away and trying to grab for his sword again. ]

It's a HOLLOW. If you don't even know what it IS, you have no business trying to FIGHT THE DAMN THING. [He backs up a few paces, still holding it behind him and trying to put one hand on her forehead to keep her at bay. Meanwhile, the thing is looming up closer to them, which they don't see... because of these preschool antics]

[ She'll be pawing and grabbing for the sword despite the palm on her forehead, because it'd be too easy if she just put him on his ass and didn't act like a child. Buffy's sometimes too dumb for her own strength. ] I don't need to know what it is. I know that people are getting hurt, it's destroying your city, and we're about to be added to the body count. I hack and slash, it dies, people live. Everybody goes home happy.

What do you think you are, Rambo or something?! You can't just-- [A giant shadow stretches across them as they argue, and then there's a low disgusting laugh right over top of their heads and he looks up.] SHIT!! [The sword is up in a flash again, intercepting the thing's tail as it comes crashing down towards them. He grits his teeth in the strain of holding it there, and looks at her, visibly annoyed] Now look what you did!!

[ She whirls around, crouching and raising her arms in defense only to look up and see Ichigo holding it off with the sword. She straightens a little. ]

What I did? This isn't a me thing! This is a -- [ She cuts herself off when the thing tries harder to slam its tail down into them, budging a little. Her eyes flicker around the street and she spots a sign up outside of one of the shops on the side of the street. ]

Stay there. [ Yeah, she doesn't even know Ichigo but she's too used to barking orders now. She runs over to where the sign is, pulling the white board portion off of it and splitting off one of the three supporting poles to use as a weapon. She turns over her shoulder to look back at Ichigo and shout. ]

So, you're the expert, how do we kill it?

[STAY THERE?? SERIOUSLY? If he MOVED, the thing would crush them in seconds flat. And here she was acting like he was only still fending it with his sword because she told him to. Women.]

[Grunting slightly against the strain] We're not doing anything. You need to get out of he-- [It roars and he curses as it headbutts towards him and drives him backwards about fifteen feet down the road, his feet digging against the road as he leans all his wait onto the sword]

Not exactly in a position for arguing right now, Carrot Top! Let's try less with the testosterone, more with the teamwork. [ It's said in a rushed way as she runs back towards him at full speed, jumping onto the thing's tail so she can drive the makeshift stake down through it and impale it to get it distracted from Ichigo and flailing around to hit her instead of the rest of the crowds. ]

[The thing lets out a horribly loud roar and Ichigo curses again as it rears on her.] Are you stupid?! It's going to-- [It chomps down towards her and he takes the opening to leap on its back, catching his balance as it twists back up into place]

It's not going to do anything except kill a lot of people unless you give me some giant monster murder tips. [ She brings both arms up in a defensive stance as it chomps towards her, but luckily he distracts it and she's just left to deal with the way the tail lashes around -- both from annoyance at Ichigo, and trying to shake the stick she stabbed into it, which for something that big was probably the equivalent of a stupid thorn. This was gonna be tough. She grabbed onto the broken piece of sign to keep herself rooted to the tail as it flailed around. ] Now, please!

I have to be the one who kills it, or its soul won't-- [But having to take a moment mid-combat while riding the back of a hollow to explain the job of a Soul Reaper, while the thing is violently lashing around, isn't really conducive to balance. His arms pinwheel a bit, as he's got to keep a hold of that Sword. All his regular Soul Reaper finesse seems to fly out the window in his frustration with Buffy trying to snake his kill.]

Not really concerned with its soul so much as living right now! [ The thrashing about continues and ends with Buffy and her stupid little pole getting slung into the side of a building as the tail smashed through it. A normal person would probably be dead, but Buffy just lands in the pile of glass and metal and brick and props herself up slowly on her elbows, grimacing. ]

[Ok, Ichigo's insane OH NO LETTING PEOPLE DOWN I SHOULD BE PROTECTING urges take over when he watches her get FLUNG INTO A BUILDING, and he lets out a yell and bring the sword down, cracking open dat mask with mighty He-Man strength or something.

BY THE POWER OF GRAYSKU--

Never mind. Gotta make sure she's ok.]

No! Don't come over here! [ She lifts herself up in time to see him cracking the mask before he starts worrying, and she does some math. Mask it is. ] I'm fine, stupid, the good citizens of Tokyo getting stomped by Godzilla? Not so much. I'll survive, he needs to not. [ She slowly gets herself back on her feet just in time for the thing to smash a fist through the building just below her and it starts crumbling downwards to the ground, and she's caught in the landslide. Buildingslide. Whatever. ]

[WHY IS HIS LIFE FULL OF PEOPLE GETTING INTO TROUBLE fjskla; Whatever, he should have...steered the Hollow or something better so it wouldn't drop a building on her, but too late now, so he's gonna ride it all the way to the crashing ground, sword still buried in its fucking face YEAHHH BOI

And then glance around for her to see if she's still babbling somewhere or not. At least he has a clear way to know if she is okay]

HEY! YOU IN THERE?!

[ She shoves a giant slab of rock off of her with one good kick and slowly begins to pick herself up with a particularly whiny groan. ] I think so ... [ Because no matter how many exciting superpowers she has, or how big of a castle she lives in, she's still Buffy. ]

Is it dead yet or do I need to get on you for talking instead of slaying? [ It's instinctive to talk down to him like he's one of her girls at this point. And that makes her sound like the Slayer castle is a whorehouse and she's their madame but I'm leaving it. ]

It was already DEAD, technically... [But whatever, he's not gonna... argue that with her :| ]

What the HELL were you THINKING?! Do you even KNOW what a Hollow IS?! [He's such a hypocrite.]

Venturing a guess that it's a giant, undead, city-stomping monster. Which makes it my department. What's your excuse, sword-guy?
