A Lieutenant Colonel in the military, and eventually the leader of Rogue Squadron, Jaina is a warrior in every way. Struggling against darkness of her own, she nevertheless was named the Sword of the Jedi and was the person to hunt down her brother turned Sith Lord Darth Caedus.

A proud, tough woman on the outside, Mara is capable of deep compassion for those who earn her loyalty, but tends to have a sarcastic, dark sense of humor due to her experiences.		» Tenel Ka Djo JEDI KNIGHT/QUEEN OF HAPES ❝"My lineage is tainted by generations of bloodthirsty, power-hungry tyrants. I am not proud that I was born to the royal family of Hapes. I do not wish my friends to know that I am heir to the throne, because I have done nothing to earn it, choose it, or deserve it."❞ Born a princess of the venomous Hapes Consortium, Tenel Ka identified more strongly with the traditions of her mother's people, the Dathomiri witches, often seen as a barbaric clan of rancor-riding Force users. Trained as a Jedi in her youth, she kept the truth of her royal lineage secret from her fellow Jedi, which included Jaina - and her future lover Jacen Solo. Tenel Ka was forced to become Queen of Hapes eventually against her own wishes, and had a secret daughter with Jacen, turning against him when he became Darth Caedus. Incredibly serious, she comes off as almost entirely humorless, and has sported only one arm ever since Jacen accidentally cut off the other in their youth. As Queen, she became harder, more unyielding, and colder by necessity.

They set their sights on Jacen Solo and she was instrumental in his subsequent temptation and fall, guiding him to become Darth Caedus.		» Boba Fett (FANDOM) ❝Everyone dies. It's the final and only lasting Justice. Evil exists; it is intelligence in the service of entropy. When the side of a mountain slides to kill a village, this is not evil, for evil requires intent... There is no greater good than Justice; and only if law serves Justice is it a good law... Eventually, he became the Mandalore, leader of the Mandalorian people, and even eventually lent their aid to the New Republic against the invasion of the Vong. He agreed to train Jaina Solo in Mandalorian techniques to aid her in killing her brother, Darth Caedus. Irreverent, cunning, and callous, Fett nevertheless carries a strong sense of justice, moral obligation, and a code of honor.

Do it on Luke's.❞ Corran's been a lot of things - ranging from a Corellian Security Force investigator to a Rogue Squadron fighter ace, eventually embracing his family heritage to become a Jedi Master in the New Jedi Order. A highly skilled pilot, Corran values his family greatly and was at first uncertain about becoming a Jedi, because he felt like it would involve giving up a lot of his personality. Very competitive, proud, and with a wry, sometimes irritable sense of humor, he's managed to develop his determination and analytical way of approaching situations into great benefits to the Jedi Order.		» Han Solo CANON OR EU FLAVOR ❝He was a headshot waiting to happen.❞ The consummate scoundrel, Han Solo was an orphanturned Imperial military officer who broke from service when he saved the life of a Wookiee prisoner who would become his best friend and co-pilot. Becoming an ally of the Rebel Alliance in their fight against the Empire, he met his future wife Leia Organa, and they eventually had a family... Before which point canon and the EU diverge quite a bit, but his life sucks either way, pretty much.

[ Ben looks down, sheepish. ] Not much...

[ His gaze lands on a stray hydrospanner, which he reaches out for with the Force, and makes levitate off the ground. ]

[ despite ben's modesty about it, jacen smiles and nods. ] A good start. Any journey begins with such steps.

What else?

[ Not dropping the hydrospanner, Been closes his eyes and tries to imagine the Force around him the way he had been taught. He can feel Master Jacen standing across from him as a solid, dense presence. He tries to push out with the Force, making his own signature more like Master Jacen's.

They're just walls, really, with little substance to hold them up. But it's what he knows.

Eyes still closed, Ben speaks. ] Uncle Luke wouldn't let me have a training saber yet. He said I wasn't ready.

And what do you make of that assessment? [ he thinks of himself, his own youthful arrogance, and how it cost tenel ka her arm, a visual reminder that stuck with him through his entire life. ]

[ Ben opens his eyes, frowning. The hydrospanner falls to the ground with a clatter.

If Jacen had asked him yesterday, the answer would have been a lot easier. He would have said that Uncle Luke was wise and right, and he wasn't ready for a saber. But now...? ]

I think... I think if I'm not ready then I want to know what I have to do to get ready. [ Impatient? Maybe. Eager? Definitely. ]

[ he notes the way the question breaks the boy's concentration. he's hardly surprised. ] A wise response.

Before you learn combat, you must understand the purpose of it, master the movement of your own body. When I was somewhat older than you, I was given my first lightsaber, and thought I could prove something with it.

I severed the arm of someone very dear to me. She refused to ever take an implant to replace it.

[ Ben's expression turns hollow. He is horrified by the thought of hurting someone he cares about. What if he hurt Uncle Luke? Or his mom or dad? ]

Your friend never forgave you? Even though it was an accident?

On the contrary. [ they totally got it on bow chicka wow wo-- ok probably not child appropriate conversation ] But it taught me respect for the power of the weapon.

[ Ben frowns and thinks about that for a minute. ]

If I respect the power of the weapon, will I be ready for one?

That's an important first step, yes.

Learning how to wield one, however, is second to learning when to, and why.

[ Ben nods. Uncle Luke has said something similar many times.

As if reciting, Ben says, ] A lightsaber should only be used as a last resort, and only to defend yourself or others.

I know that already.

To know something in theory is quite different than to understand it in practice. Does that mean you should never attack unless you are attacked first?

[ Is that a trick question? Ben is unsure as he answers, ] ...Nnno?

Can you think of a time, when you might have to raise a blade before your opponent?

[ Ben takes a long time before answering, trying to think of a scenario where this might happen. ]

If someone else was in danger. If my enemy was about to hurt someone, and I could stop them from doing it. Then I would.

And how would you know that they intended to do harm?

I would sense it. With the Force.

[ Sensing people's feelings came easily to him, why shouldn't sensing people's intentions be the same? ]

There are some who can mask their intentions, even with the Force.

I'll just have to be better than them. Stronger.

Exactly. [ he smiles slightly, pleased with that answer. ] If you were strong enough, they would be unable to hide from you.

Teach me? How to be stronger than my opponent, than anybody? I wanna heal the galaxy, like you said.

[ Maybe then his mom would be proud of him. Would notice what he does instead of send him away. ]

I will, Ben. [ he reaches down to lay one hand on the boy's shoulder, as comforting a gesture as he can make it. ] I need your help to fix things.

Really? [ He almost doesn't believe it. Doesn't believe that any grown up, master Force user could possibly need him, of all people. ]

I can't do it alone.

You won't have to.

[ He's here, isn't he? ]
