how to play.

1. Drop a comment with one or more of your muses. It can be empty if you want me to make a scenario, or you can toss one at me. Prompts are boss. (a word, song, lyric, picture, phrase, a meme prompt, anything). Specify if there's something you do or don't want, otherwise I could throw anything at you: AUs, shippiness, awfulness. You've been warned, son.
1b. If you want to continue a verse we started in another thread somewhere, specify it in the comment or subject line.

2. In the subject line, you can specify any of my muses you might want to play with (including OCs, who have their own list), or you can ask me to pick someone. No muses are off-limits. Otherwise, I'll pick or randomize someone.
Don't be afraid to ask for anybody - if I'm not feeling it, I'll be honest.

[ IT'S THE SEASON TWO FINALE in a darkest timeline where klaus also killed stefan while he was at it??? just for shits and giggles, i guess. but right before klaus can drain elena, his back abruptly arches and she would twist in place to see that behind him stands a man she's noticed here and there around town recently, at the local watering hole, etc. but not ever talked to - and he's driven a stake right through klaus' back, straight into his heart. flames begin to erupt from the place where the stake is stuck through him and dean reaches out to pull elena away from the vampire's grip, which loosens as he begins in vain to reach back for the weapon ] Move.

[She's not expecting it, is barely even conscious of it at first, only able to feel the burning pain of Klaus' fangs buried in her throat, taking what they want without care.

She thinks she's fading away when the pain dims, only to feel the floor slip underneath her feet and the sound of a man's voice she doesn't recognize.

Move, he says. How? Where?

She tries to right herself, push off the ground with her feet toward the direction of the person pulling her from Klaus' grip. It's then that she smells the smoke, hears his screams.

She falls next to her would-be rescuer, her cheeks stained with tears and her own blood, her hand trying to cover the brutal wound on her throat. Somehow, miraculously, she has the wherewithal to start crawling away, to put some space between her and the monster that murdered Stefan only moments ago.]

[ he positions himself in between her and the vampire who is quickly being engulfed in flames, pulling a machete off his belt that he holds up in a ready position until he can find an in to step close enough to swing it around and in one smooth motion cut klaus' head clean off. it rolls away, the fiery body slumping to the ground, and it's only after he's pretty damn sure that he's not moving anymore that he lowers the weapon and glances around to try to find her, moving towards her cautiously so as not to terrify her any further and holding out his other hand ] It's over.

He ain't comin' back. You alright?

[She's seen a lot today, but seeing Klaus' body burning, watching his head hit the ground and roll toward her, vacant eyes staring and his mouth open in a silent scream, isn't the most horrifying thing she's seen since the sun fell below the horizon.

It's just the bookend to a long list of horrors.

She keeps her hand pressed against her throat, her finger sticky and warm, but manages to reach for his hand with the other.]

I...don't know.

[No, she isn't alright, but she's alive. Her voice shakes in those few words and she barely recognizes the sound, feeling like it's coming from somewhere far away.]

[ he helps pull her to her feet, careful to not draw her too close since he's still HOLDING A MACHETE and probably scary right now, but he wants to get a better look at her neck, so he'll crane his own to take a glance at it ] You need to keep pressure on it. I've got a kit in the car. Come on. [ he moves a hand gently to her shoulder to steer her in the right direction, away from this horror show and towards where the impala is haphazardly parked in the woods ]

[She hopes it's something a little better than a sewing kit, because she's not sure she wants some stranger to potentially sew her up with a needle and thread.

But one thing at a time. He's not just any stranger, anyway. He just saved her life.

Her neck could be worse, all things considered; Klaus wanted to take her blood more so than just kill her, so the wounds are less jagged and rough as they might have been otherwise. It's still messy, though, and he took enough to leave her lightheaded. Losing more would be problematic.

She nods her head, knowing that much but thankful for the reminder, and she tries to press her palm hard enough into the side of her throat to slow the flow as she lets him pull her towards where his car is parked. She leans gently against the side of it once they get there, waiting for him to open one of the doors. Her fingers are slick and weak and she doesn't want to fumble with the handle.]

[ he gets it open for her, setting the machete on the top of the car so he can help give her an arm to hold onto to lower herself to sitting, before he goes to the back to start rummaging ] You should keep talkin', helps with the blood loss. You don't wanna pass out right now.
