Question that I'm already sure I'm going to regret asking:

Is someone actually expecting us to wear these uniforms?  They're not exactly GQ, and the fact that one seems to keep magically appearing in my closet when I try to toss it out is starting to scream cult dynamic.  I'm not gonna wake up sewn into one next week, am I?

That would make sense. I'd hope they'd trust us enough to let us put on our own clothes.

Taking their trust for granted would be a mistake.

I wasn't intending on doing that.

Then don't assume you have it.

[ clothes aside, Nat doesn't believe ALASTAIR trusts any of them as far as they can be thrown. and she knows firsthand just how hard it is to throw a guy like Bucky or Steve. ]

You need to stay out of Stark's way. Don't make a bad situation worse.

I see now that nothing's changed.

I hope you're wrong, or your friend is sticking his neck out for nothing.

[ She trusts Steve's judgment; or rather, she's trying to. She's been trying to since the airfield, where she gave Bucky the benefit of the doubt, but it all hinges on the notion that Barnes, at least, has changed. Resurfaced isn't the right word, Nat knows. You can't come through something like that and be who you used to be. But hopefully he's something different than they programmed him to be. ]

Unfortunately, yes. Just try to ignore him.

[how does he say that he isn't sure what "good" is anymore? After everything he's been through, constantly being put together and pulled apart. he thinks he's getting better, but compared to what? does that kind of scale even exist for him?
