the revenge of just rp it.

how to play.1. Drop a comment with one or two of your muses. If you have an idea for a scenario, you can toss one at me. Prompts are boss. (a gif, song, lyric, picture, phrase, hipster quote, anything). Specify if there's something you do or don't want, otherwise I could throw anything at you: AUs, shippiness, awfulness. You've been warned, son.
1b. If you want to continue a verse we started in an old rp post or from CR we had in a game, specify it in the comment or subject line. I'd be down for revisiting any of those.
2. In the subject line, you can specify any of my muses you might want to play with (including OCs), or you can ask me to pick someone. No muses are off-limits except for those that have no icon uploaded on the list. Otherwise, I'll pick or randomize someone.
2b. Muses I would really really like to play at this exact moment, in case you're having a hard time choosing, are: Sydney Bristow, Selina Kyle, Thor, Robin Scherbatsky, Pepper Potts, Belle, Regina Mills, Lois Lane, Jaime Lannister, Jacen Solo, Bobby Singer, Selene, Fox Mulder, Rogue, Wolverine, Darla, Max Guevara, Daisy Adair, Wonder Woman, maybe more shitty attempts at Damon Salvatore, Aurelian Greyfire (OC). And Phil Coulson, who I don't have a journal yet for. But WILL. When AOS gives me a good username.
These aren't the only ones I will or want to play with, so don't worry if you pick someone else. I just have a hankering for these guys.
3. just rp with me. if something jives really well, maybe we can continue it in another one of these later, sort of like a super casual verse. if it doesn't, it doesn't.
Max pls
Is you'll never really see
And the thing that freaks me out
Is I'll always be in doubt
It is a lovely thing that we have
It is a lovely thing that we
It is a lovely thing, the animal
The animal instinct

that happened.
it's not what she'd wanted, and that's the part that blows, and is leaving her bitch facing into the mirror as she yanks her shirt on across the room from where tyler still lays in bed.
the problem was she actually liked this guy. and then her hormones kicked into animal overdrive, and she'd slept with him because she couldn't stop herself, because she was in heat - not because they'd had any kind of moment of deep emotional connection or even shared a romantic dinner for two.
it made something that she'd wanted to have worth feel cheap. just another way that manticore managed to screw her over long after she'd gotten off their radar.
it's just sex, she tells herself. it's not like it's ever actually wine and roses special in the real world.
doesn't change the fact that she's avoiding speaking up first. ]

Still, this isn't exactly how he had planned on things going. He actually liked Max, wouldn't of minded taking his time -- but things got out of hand really quickly.
And now he's not sure what to do. Other than maybe sit up and try to locate his pants.
He's not speaking up just yet either.
What the hell would he say?]

Mulder pls
/picks up vessel verse 2 years later; fast forwards it???
it's been over a year since that fateful night where 'wesley' attacked cordelia, and agent mulder came calling on her. if she thought that she already lived knee-deep in the middle of weird, central, her eyes have had plenty of opportunities to be opened since then.
aliens, mulder likes to call it. it doesn't really matter where it comes from, however, because the truth is that the black oil that possessed her friend and led the both of them on a terrifying labyrinthine chase into the core of the government itself, is here now, and wherever it came from, it doesn't seem likely to be heading back without leaving its mark on humanity.
of course, sometimes they've found themselves pushing too far. knocking on the wrong doors. that's how cordelia wound up here, tied down with a row of other prisoners in a camp mid-siberia, as the scientists make their way down the line, injecting screaming patient after screaming patient with a syringe full of black liquid.
it's almost her turn, and the restraints on her wrists are unforgiving. ]
yes. good /chininhands
She definitely didn't expect things to lead back to the government. Or you know, aliens. She had figured it was a weird demon thing but she supposes it doesn't really matter what you call it.
No mater what, it's still bad news.
Speaking of bad news, Cordelia is chained up and struggling against her restraints futily.
Damnit, she is not going to end up another victim of this stuff. This is not what's supposed to happen. This can't be how it ends.]

dean~
no subject
after all. his brother was still in there somewhere.
it hadn't gone well. lucifer had come looking to crush whatever spirit to resist might still lie buried in dean's soul, and instead been delighted by the change he'd seen in him. the darkness that had been devouring him slowly as his hope flickered out.
it wasn't enough for lucifer. he wanted to accelerate it.
of course he went after sylar. maybe he was part of the reason for dean's slow descent into becoming the kind of monster he's fought for so long, but he was also one of his only remaining emotional bonds.
he'd made dean watch, as he ripped him apart with a blast of light, from which he'd assured dean there was no coming back.
so naturally, his reaction to see the other man across the wrecked and rundown street in what was once kansas city, is to realize that he's either snapped or being fucked with.
doesn't keep him from staring in anguish, even as he draws his knife. ] Stay the hell back.

so thor was a good asgardian prince and went to the smallville hospital where lois dumped his ass... buuuuut he caused a serious ruckus, and they called lois back almost immediately to come pick up her ranting, raving behemoth. who is now staring skeptically at her car, obviously doubting he's gonna fit in there. ]

You're the one who gave up a perfectly good bed because you couldn't let the doctors run a few stupid tests.
[the annoyance in her voice is clear as she makes her way over to the passengers side, deciding to adjust the seat before he even attempts to get in the car.]
Besides, the drive back to my apartment isn't that far.
[she sits in the seat, fumbles for the handle under it, and then pushes it alllllllllll the way back.]
You can suck it up.

except when it's not. so he just has to take advantage of the upper snark hand it grants him when he walks in to find stefan drowning his latest sorrows in a ridiculous amount of empty bottles. he hovers over his brother, surveying the scene and drawls in a childish mocking tone: ] Let me guess: you just got dumped on prom night, after you spent all that money on a new dress.no subject

annnnnnnnd he finally picks a canon point
thor or jacen!
no but my heart tho
jacen's newly perfected art of vanishing into the Force was strange enough to those who knew him - and highly disturbing to all those who hadn't ever experienced it before when he first returned from his sojourn and surprised them all with his unheralded appearance. but other signs arose as well, both in the changes to his manner, the focused, hard determination that drained his smiles of any mirth, and the cold way in which the solutions he proposed to the revan situation became more... cutthroat.
none of them knew, of course, of the burden that haunted caedus now, ripped as he was from the war he had brought to the galaxy of his own time, the war on chaos and enemies to the peace. his desperation to return to his time, his battle, his destiny. his daughter.
there was little point in mincing words with his 'friends' from his past here, so it was easier to pretend nothing had changed. to force the smiles and make his moves in the shadows.
but one of his apprentices had ruined the balance of the game, and his options had been taken from him. she became a risk, and for the good of the galaxy's future, she could not be allowed to survive, to potentially compromise his acquisition of power that would allow him to learn revan's secrets and use them to return to his own time.
this place, this ancient sith temple buried deep in the jungles of a remote world, pulsed so strongly with the force that in his single minded pursuit of catty, caedus failed entirely to sense the presence of his other apprentice.
she'd had plenty of cause for suspicion, enough to follow him stealthily... but as she came around the corner of the cave, she heard the other apprentice give her final cry, as with the hum of a lightsaber her life is cut short. caedus stands incriminatingly over her body, shoulders hunched, dark hair hanging down to mask his expression, beside from his tightly clenched jaw as he stares at the body.
the red blade paints his face in ominous shadows as he suddenly looks up slowly, directly towards her. his expression is pained but resigned to all this moment means. he does not look surprised, but he has the wherewithal to look... disappointed. ]
You shouldn't have come here.
no subject
or she'd thought it was. buffy had always struggled with catty, with not being his only student, but her death doesn't solve that. her death doesn't bring buffy any peace. quite the opposite. hearing the sickening noise of her final cry leaves buffy's gut twisting inside of her, and she has to briefly shut her eyes to put it out of her mind.
when she opens them, jacen is standing there. there's no blood, but the light from his lightsaber may as well be. she watches him, sadly, but the way she phrases her next question is almost an offering. ]
Why? You gonna kill me, now, too?
