[ he feels a little silly shaking his 'no' for some reason, as it feels a lot more unnatural in this form than wagging it up and down. so instead he takes a few slow, cautious steps forward, not rushing it lest she think he's hungry or something, and then nudges at her arm, trying to indicate the stake. ]
