What: Lois brings in another mage to help solve Metropolis' magic problem
When: .AU Smallville S8, Ep 17, Hex, following this
Where: Metropolis

[ Metropolis is home to Superman, Lois hasn't traveled to Mexico, and Zatanna hasn't bodyswapped anybody... but in this world, Lex Luthor still did get his hands on the magic tome Zatanna was seeking. And it's been causing all kinds of problems as she tries to get it back. Unfortunately for Clark Kent, magic is one of his few blind spots when it comes to his usual invulnerabilities. After witnessing Zatanna leave him hanging, literally, from some kind of glowing chains of light, Lois had decided to do some digging to find someone who might be able to help without imperiling Big Blue any further.

[Lois manages to grab an entire bottle of champagne right off a waiter's tray on her way out the door, and cradles it in her hands as she sits down heavily on the porch swing outside, trying to reign her emotions in. The last thing she wants is to make a scene, to ruin what she'd planned to be a perfect night for her cousin. Which means, as usual, it was time to suck it up, the Lane way.

But it's not working so well, and she uncorks the bottle, hoping maybe she can just drown her sorrows out here, and no one will be the wiser.]

Obviously. << Come have a beer next to him while he counts his crumply dollars, looking generally disgruntled.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHER. Yet another scenario where your character is somehow a mutant. In mutant school. And Logan's teaching class today, because, I don't know, Professor Grey went psycho and tried to destroy the world or something. He plunks into the classroom and puts his feet up on the desk, with a stogie in his mouth. And... waits for you all to make the first move, I guess. He doesn't know what the fuck he's doing.

<FIVE>
GENTLEMAN HOME INVADER. It's late, been a long hard day of getting his ass handed to him, and then growing it back again, and you know what, Logan just really needs a fucking beer. He figures you're all sleeping, suburbanites, so he's just... helping himself to the fridge in your garage.

CAGE FIGHTING. I don't know what your character is doing at a cage fight, but that's pretty awesome of them. Logan's just getting done pummeling everyone, and maybe you won or lost big as a result. Either way, he collects his moneys, and the announcer's asking if anyone else dares to go a round. You can chat him up or TRY TO DEFEAT HIMMMMM.

BLIND DATE. Don't ask who actually convinced her to come here, but she doesn't look very happy about this in the first place when you spot her at your table for two. You might recognize her off TV. Yeah. Your blind date is Wonder Woman. At least you picked this nice Greek restaurant...

CRUISE SHIP. A nice cruise around the Greek Islands, how relaxing. You'll find Diana up on deck, looking out over the railing, arms folded. She seems to have a lot on her mind. Free drinks, free band, really foreboding storm clouds gathering overhead...

NAZIS. There's little that's more annoying than a fancy dinner party being interrupted by a sudden rip in space-time, out of which pours a bunch of crazy Nazis from an alternate dimension. But when you've been assigned to sit at the same table as Diana Prince, maybe it's not so bad. Make small talk, fight Nazis.
